KEYS!!!

What an absolute whirlwind of a weekend. We got the keys to our new home Friday, June 11 at 5pm. I expected myself to feel overwhelmed by how momentous the occasion was, but I wasn’t. Walking in the door felt like the most natural thing in the world. Our furniture easily found their rightful places while still leaving space for our family to grow– there is no rush, part of the joy is not knowing what will fill the spaces between our past and future, literally and figuratively.

Tomis worked this whole weekend in the early morning. I called on Doodle, Pookie and Philip to help me with the move while Tomis worked. I had to be incredibly sneaky with my plans as Tomis didn’t want to call on anyone for help… but me being his wife, I knew better. My dearest husband needs his rest, so I planned to have the apartment moved without telling him. He wasn’t pleased at first but I think he appreciated it afterwards.

Even though the furniture was moved there was still a lot of work to do. Boxes boxes boxes. We are both currently WIPED OUT.

One finished corner of our home… kind of. We still need to get the blanket out from under the barrel, but the set-up is nice. We will have more pictures shortly 🙂
